Rede Autoestima-se was born in 2020, in the city of Conceição do Almeida, in the Recôncavo Baiano region, from the mobilization of activist and social entrepreneur Mariana Nunes, current executive director and president of the organization, who started the initiative at the age of 17 with the purpose of broadening access to mental health care in Brazil.

What began as in-person conversation circles about mental health, self-esteem, self-knowledge and emotional support quickly expanded to the digital environment, reaching people from different regions of the country. From this evolution, the Network consolidated a model of operation based on technology, mobilization of volunteer psychologists, online psychological care and communication strategies to democratize access to mental health.

Throughout its trajectory, the organization has achieved important national and international recognitions. In 2021, it became part of the Ashoka Global Network, strengthening its presence in the social innovation ecosystem. In 2022, it received support from Open Society Foundations for institutional strengthening and represented Brazil at the UN Youth Assembly. In 2024, it was recognized by Folha de S.Paulo with the Social Entrepreneur Award in the Young Transformers category.

Today, Rede Autoestima-se operates through two complementary arms: the philanthropic front, which offers emotional support and free psychological care for audiences in situations of vulnerability, especially women, young people and young activists; and the impact business arm, which develops solutions for companies, organizations and institutions committed to mental health, well-being, prevention of psychosocial risks and corporate social responsibility.

In its work with companies, Rede Autoestima-se supports organizations in building healthier, more human and sustainable work environments, offering services related to mental health, emotional care, illness prevention, psychosocial risk management, lectures, training, awareness actions and social impact strategies. This front allows companies to invest in their teams' well-being and, at the same time, directly contribute to the sustainability of the organization's philanthropic social strategy.

SUSTAINABILITY

Together, we build a more sustainable support network, including the club of possibilities.

Logo of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

Rede Autoestima-se is an organization committed to promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), offering free and accessible psychosocial support for women and young people in situations of social vulnerability. Our mission is to contribute to emotional well-being, promoting mental health (SDG 3), gender equality (SDG 5), and the reduction of inequalities (SDG 10). Through online sessions conducted by volunteer psychologists, we combine technology and human care to positively impact lives and transform communities throughout Brazil.

Health and Well-being

ODS 3
Health and Well-being

We promote accessible and quality mental health through free psychosocial sessions, focused on the emotional support of women and young people facing challenges of anxiety, depression, and stress. Through brief focal psychotherapy and support groups, we help improve the well-being of the most vulnerable populations.

Gender Equality

ODS 5
Gender Equality

We support the emotional and social autonomy of women, who represent 80% of our beneficiaries. Our goal is to strengthen female mental health, promoting spaces for support and development so that these women can exercise their leadership in society.

Reducing Inequalities

ODS 10
Reducing Inequalities

We work to reduce racial and socioeconomic inequalities, primarily serving black youth and women. We offer emotional support and personal growth opportunities for those with limited access to mental health services, aiming to promote equity and social justice.

Goals for the next 6 years

  • Reduce printing of physical materials by 90%: We are committed to minimizing the use of printed materials, both for advertising and office use, aiming to significantly reduce our environmental impact.

  • Reach the mark of 2,000 people served: We will expand our services to reach and offer psychological and social support to 2,000 people, promoting well-being and inclusion.

  • Ensure that 90% of the leadership team is composed of professionals from the North and Northeast regions: We are working to increase regional representation, strengthening the leadership of talents from these areas in our structure.

  • Align 75% of partners and suppliers with sustainable practices: Our goal is to ensure that the majority of our partnerships are with suppliers committed to sustainability and decarbonization, contributing to a greener future.

  • Offer financial incentives for the use of clean energy: We will financially support our psychology professionals and the supported public in hiring renewable energy for online sessions, promoting a transition to more sustainable energy sources.
